Parenting Education Group

Parenting Education Group is designed to help parents in a number of ways, such as: learn how to modify your communications skills to better relate to your teen: learn new communication skills to validate your child’s emotions in a different way than your parents used for you:  help your children learn to differentiate their emotions and communicate them effectively instead of acting out negatively or inappropriately.

Parenting Your Teens and Young Adults

An educational support group for parents whose children have attended a residential or intensive therapeutic program. This group is designed to help parents navigate the trail to developing fresh, healthy family relationships. Facilitated by : Kati Lohr, LPC-MHSP and other Adventure Counseling Consultants (including: Bunny Porter Shirley, Christie Bates, Brandon Teeftaller, Larkin Lohr, and others).

Sample Topics:
Practicing healthy communication skills
Developing and enforcing boundaries at home
Understanding and avoiding enabling the family
Managing Emotions – such as the frustration, fear and anxiety that often come with the powerless nature of parenting this age group

When: Sundays 4pm - 6pm, Saturdays 9am-11am
We will initially offer these options and will maintain whichever are most attended.
Cost: $300 per month per family

Parenting Support Group

Parenting Support Group is designed for parents with children who are away at a therapeutic or rehabilitation program or school, or whose children have returned from a similar program and are reintegrating back into the family and social environment.

Divas

Do you want to understand your eating habits? Do you find yourself fluctuating in motivation and follow through with weight loss or fitness goals? This group aims to help women find the truth about their bodies and their wellness needs. No matter our size, shape, age, or history, we are divas that deserve to feel the beauty, wisdom, and grace that is naturally ours. We will explore the messages from our community, family, and internal voices and translate them into a nurturing intuition. We will increase our awareness and sharpen our listening skills to properly care for our body and soul. Join this peaceful adventure with other women seeking their inner Goddess! (Men’s groups coming soon!)

Young Women’s Empowerment Adventure

This group is designed for young women who struggle with similar life issues. Focusing on life transitions, emotional management, addiction and codependency, body image and more. Facilitated by: Kati Lohr, LPC-MHSP & Holly Cook, LPC-MHSP.

Possible topics:
Self esteem & body image
Healthy decisions
Relationships
Lifestyle changes
(Participants must be pre-screened for attendance, Please call Kati @ 615-483-3449)

When: Wednesday's 5-7pm, Thursdays’s 5-7pm (girls will be grouped by age range to determine which day)
Cost: $300/month

Marathon Training Group

Have you ever dreamed of participating in a marathon? Maybe you've done it before but can't seem to find the motivation to do it again? Let us help you train to run or walk the Country Music Half or Full Marathon. Join other new and experienced walkers and runners for the fellowship and motivation to see you to the finish line.

Facilitated by trainers experienced in personal fitness, motivation, nutrition and adventure! Group will meet three times a week for strength training & group walks/runs. Only $150/month for 3 meetings each week!
